The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries, along with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, has expanded its ‘Do Not Eat’ advisory to include deer and wild turkey in parts of Knox, Thorndike, and Unity due to PFAS contamination. The change follows recent testing of deer and turkey meat. The newly added area joins existing advisory zones in Fairfield, Skowhegan, Unity, Unity Township, Albion, Freedom, Knox, and Thorndike.
